Battery Maintenance and Precautions

1.  Surface, connecting wire and bolt of the battery should be kept clean and dry. If there have sour liquid on battery, should be wiped off with cotton that dipped alkali solution, then wash it with water and dry it, In the course of clearing up, do not allow the alkali solution enter battery absolutely.

2.  Connection of battery must keep in contact well, so as not to cause spark, which can make polar burn out or battery explode.

3.  The battery should be avoided charge, over discharges, charges strongly and undercharges, and otherwise, it will be shorten the life of the battery.

4.  Forbidden to fall into any harmful substance in the battery. The instruments and apparatuses that measure the electrolyte density, temperature and liquid should keep clean, and avoid bringing the impurity into the battery. 

5.  The battery should not cover and forbidden to put any conductive goods, so as not to cause the battery short circuit

6.  User should charge in time after the battery discharges, the longest spacing interval couldn’t exceed 24 hours.

7.  When battery is using, if appear bad battery, should find out the reason in time, repair immediately, should change the new battery when it is unable to repair. 

8.   Pouring into water of the battery and sulphuric acid solution, its temperature should be 10~35℃, should not be too high or too low.

9.   The charge room forbids fireworks, so as to avoid the hydrogen explosion accident. charge room should has good ventilation facilities, and the temperature of this room should be lower 15℃. 

10.   The battery will often occur unbalanced phenomenon of the voltage, density and capacity when use. In order to make the battery reach the good state with equilibrium in using, the battery should be charged proportionally once every month. If there is one of the following situations, should charge evenly. 

a) Discharge voltage is often drop below terminating voltage

b) Discharge when electric current value is too big

c) Not carried on charge in time after discharge;

d) When the electrolyte interfuse not very harmful the impurity;

e) When often charge insufficient or not use for long time

f) Take out polar group to check and after eliminating deposit. 

Evenly charge method: Charge the battery normally first, after finish charge, put the battery for an hour, continues charge with the electric current of second stage normally again, till it produce the air bubble violently, then stop charge for an hour, repeat like this several times, keep the voltage, and density unchanged, charge again after intermittence, till produce air bubble violently
